How tuition works
Every course is priced by the course and the days it meets.
What sets tuition
Tuition depends on the course you take, whether the lifeguard course, first aid and CPR or recertification, and on the number of days the course meets. The figures are on our enrollment page when you register, and you can call us before you do.

Registration
A registration payment puts your name on a course list and pays for the instructor's time at your swim test. It is due when you register, once for each course.
Holding a place
Your place is held once your registration is in. If a course is full, you can join the waitlist, and we offer a place by email in the order people joined. A held place goes toward your tuition.
Billing
You pay for a course when you register, by course, on our enrollment page. A pool manager booking staff is billed once, to the employer.
Help with tuition
Ask us whether assistance is open this month. We talk with each student, and with employers who pay for staff courses, about what works.
Withdrawing
We ask for a week's notice before a course begins. Tell us by phone or email, and we will move you to a later course or close your registration. A course already under way is handled one student at a time.
Missed classes and make-ups
If you miss part of a course day, your instructor tells you which skills to repeat, and you join the next course for those hours. If the pool closes for weather or repairs, we move the day and tell you the same morning.
Gear and other costs
A pocket mask and a course workbook are what a course uses. We say at registration which ones we supply and which you bring.
